The White Penitent's Chapel - 17th century |
||||||
It was created in the early 17th Century, under the episcopate of Monseigneur Godeau, and remained the seat of the White Penitents until 1922. It houses several masterpieces, such as the "Transfiguration", after Raphael, and two frescoes dating back to the 17th century, and representing St Peter and St Paul. Adjacent to the Church, it now serves as a cultural center for conferences and exhibitions. |
