thinks in megabytes and paints in pixels ! An alien ?... just a talented artist named, Peter Mc Lane Inspired by the modernity of our times he will just be on line with the third millennium. The main back up for his imagination is an extendible canvas... the size of a computer screen ... In 1986 he works with major companies in various fields - advertising, cinema, aerospace - and cooperates with a Canadian firm to develop new software and hardware linked to this new means of expression. Since then he's been stretching, mixing, twisting the colours violently, gently, stealthily, streaming them together to the explosion and bringing a new dimension to this art. Convinced that Van Gogh, Dali and Picasso would have not hesitated to use this technique, he is delighted to have finally found the paint that never dries. Since 1994 his works have been exhibited the world over. |

l'aube de ce troisième millénaire Peter Mc Lane déclare, non sans humour,
" je ne suis pas en avance mais seulement à l'heure". Dès 1986, Peter McLane réalise des images pour de grandes entreprises (publicité, cinéma, aérospatiale). Il participe à la restauration d'autochromes du début du siècle réalisés par les Frères Lumière. Puis en collaboration avec une équipe canadienne, il défriche, debug, participe au développement de nouveaux logiciels et périphériques pour des images de plus en plus complexes. Sa technique originale ne peut être rattachée à nulle autre, mais l'artiste avoue son profond respect pour la peinture traditionnelle, berceau de sa culture. Ses maîtres sont surréalistes et son oeuvre démontre l'influence de certains d'entre eux comme Hieronymus Bosch, Tanguy, Dali, Max Ernst... Au début des années 90 il découvre un logiciel au service de la création artistique pure. Le choc est brutal, violent. Il a enfin trouvé l'outil au service de son imaginaire. A partir de 1994, il expose dans le monde entier. Quelle magnifique et fulgurante passerelle où l'esprit demeure bien que servi par ce nouvel outil qu'est l'ordinateur. |
